I lived in Sourhtern Calaifornia for several years, before I returned to my home in Detroit. Below, I have presented several articles about my experiences in California.
The photo above shows the front door of Long Beach Polytechnic High School, also known as 'Poly High School'. The slogan above the dooor says 'Enter To Learn'. Poly High School was the location of S.E.A. (School Of Educational Alternatives) and P.A.C.E. (Program for Additional Curricular Experiences). I attended both schools (SEA and PACE) in 1976, when I was 16 years old. The photo above was taken in 1976.
The photo above is a photo I took in 1976, when I was 16 years old. There was an area in the middle of Poly High School's campus, it was called 'The Quad'. The Quad had grass growing on it, and during lunchtime students would sit on the grass and eat lunch. The photo above shows students sitting oj the grass in The Quad.
The photo above shows students inside an art class in P.A.C.E., on the campus of Poly High School The class was called 'Studio Art', and the teacher was Mr. David Thomas. I took this picture in 1976 when I was 16 years old.
